Somnath Stories

The early residents of Somnath were from Anandwan. Gradually, however, Somnath has acquired its own identity as more and more leprosy patients from neighbouring villages and districts (Gadchiroli) came to live here during their treatment period.
There is a continuous exchange of patients from one project to another according to the patients’ skill, needs of a particular project and the patient’s own choice. It is also heartening to note that over 50 patients have left Somnath and gone back to society.
